KPMG scoops ICAEW corporate finance award
Jonathan Boyers, corporate finance partner at KPMG's Manchester office, was named corporate financier of the year at the ICAEW awards last night.
The jury praised Boyers' "exceptional motivation and skill" and highlighted the 17 deals done by his team in 2011 - including the sale of Fourth Hospitality to ECI Partners for £50m in March.
Meanwhile the "Outstanding achievement in corporate finance" award went to Deloitte's head of corporate finance for the Middle East Chris Ward.
Also up for grabs were the corporate finance qualification awards; Ricki Chana (currently employed at KPMG) was awarded the outstanding achievement prize for the intermediate diploma, while the advanced diploma prize went to Simon Beavis.
