
Amadeus Capital exits Forth Dimension Displays
Amadeus Capital Partners has sold Scottish single chip microdisplays producer Forth Dimension Displays for $11m to Massachusetts-based nano-semiconductor company Kopin Corporation.
The sales also includes an earn out provision if agreed revenue targets are reached within the first year after the purchase. Amadeus Capital Partners acquired Forth Dimension Displays in 2004 for €15.62m together with Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures.
The Scotland based company is headquartered in Fife. Forth Dimension Displays develops and manufactures silicon-based micro-displays. The devices are used for high definition electronic viewfinders, industrial and medical equipment. The company operates offices in Valencia and Berlin.
