JTC Group acquires AFML
Funds services firm JTC Group has acquired Anson Group’s Guernsey-based fund administration business Anson Fund Managers Limited (AFML).
The acquisition of AFML is part of JTC's growth strategy to become a global funds services provider, according to the group's chairman Nigel Le Quesne. The deal follows JTC's acquisition of Anson Fund Services earlier this year.
Following the merger, four of Anson's Guernsey employees will be moving to JTC's Guernsey office to join its existing team of 22 staff.
AFML has £11.5bn in funds under administration and specialises in providing support services to funds and companies. Its clients include trading companies, open-ended and closed-ended funds as well as unit trusts, investment companies and limited partnerships.
Anson will continue to operate its share registration business Anson Registrars in Guernsey, the UK, the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
Founded in 1987, JTC is a multi-jurisdictional provider of trust, corporate and fund services in Jersey, Guernsey, Luxembourg, the UK, Switzerland, the British Virgin Islands, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand and the US.
