
BerchWood appoints Wentrup
Olaf Wentrup has joined placement agent BerchWood Partners as vice president in its London office.
In his new role, Wentrup will focus on originating new client relationships, managing fundraising projects and relationships with LPs and GPs, with a particular focus on the DACH region.
Wentrup joins from Citi's EMEA private equity fund coverage group, where he was director and head of client business development. Previously, he worked at Chatham Financial, advising funds on FX and interest rate hedging.
Prior to this, he was part of Credit Agricole's financial sponsors group, based in New York. He has also worked at Alliance Capital Partners, where he focused on private equity fund due diligence.
Wentrup began his career at WestLB in Germany, where he worked on the pan-European equity sales desk and the private equity and mezzanine solutions group.
