Hengeler Mueller PE partner relocates to London
German law firm Hengeler Mueller has transferred one of its private equity partners, Steffen Oppenländer, to its London office.
Oppenländer previously worked at the firm's Munich branch. His role with the law firm will continue to involve advising private equity firms and companies on transactions and M&A. Oppenländer joined Hengeler in 2003.
Currently, Hengeler's London office has eight employees, comprising partners Martin Geiger and Daniel Kress as well as six associates.
The move comes as the firm experiences a surge in private equity work in London, according to Kress and Geiger.
Hengeler has offices in Berlin, London, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Brussels. The firm currently employs 250 lawyers, 90 of which are partners.
