
Travers Smith appoints two PE partners
Law firm Travers Smith has promoted Adam Orr and William Yates to partner, with a specific focus on private equity.
Orr joined Travers Smith in 2011, having started his career at Dickson Minto. He specialises in domestic and international private equity transactions, M&A and general corporate advisory work. Orr has a particular focus on advising management teams, notably with regards to their equity incentivisation terms. Recent deals he has worked on include RAC, BCA, A Plan and Nets Holdings.
Yates, meanwhile, has been with the firm since 2007, following a spell at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. At Travers Smith, he has advised clients including Lyceum Capital, Bridgepoint Development Capital, Silverfleet Capital and Intermediate Capital Group. Deals he has worked on include MVF, Synexus and Ipes.
Travers Smith's private equity practice now comprises 10 partners in total – the law firm claims it has advised on around £10bn worth of private equity-backed transactions in the past year.
