Phase4 spins out of Nomura
Nomuraтs life science investment team, Phase4 Ventures, has been spun out by its management team.
With backing from HarbourVest Partners, the independent Phase4 will continue to manage a fund for Nomura.
It will also manage a new fund with HarbourVest, named Phase4 Ventures III LP. HarvourVest also acquired a significant portion of the firm's assets under management.
Phase4 says the deal will enable the business to further develop its activities in Europe and the US.
