Sovereign promotes four
UK buy-and-build specialist Sovereign Capital has promoted four.
On the investment team, Rob King (pictured) and Sunil Jain have been made investment directors, with Peter Shaw promoted to investment manager.
On the research and direct origination team, Ed Goddard has been promoted to investment manager.
King joined Sovereign in 2011. He has worked on transactions including the acquisition of accident management firm Kindertons and the company's subsequent acquisition of Plantec. Prior to joining Sovereign, King spent four years at Rothschild in the investment banking division.
Jain joined the company in 2011. While at Sovereign, he has worked across sectors with particular focus on education and healthcare. He sits on boards including Christchurch Group.
Goddard has been at Sovereign since 2009, sitting on the healthcare services team. He has worked on deals including bolt-ons for City & County Healthcare Group. Prior to Sovereign, Goddard worked at Redgrave Partners and Egon Zehnder in the private equity teams.
Sovereign hired Peter Shaw on the investment team in 2013, where he focuses on the healthcare and business support services sectors. He has worked on deals including the Hedgestart bolt-on in 2014. Prior to Sovereign, he spent three years at Dar Capital.
