Ingenious invests £2m in Jongleurs
Ingenious Ventures, the private equity arm of investment company Ingenious, has invested £2m in comedy club chain Jongleurs.
The entertainment company, which was founded in 1983 by Maria Kempinska and sold to a major leisure chain in 2000, is now under the ownership of Kempinska once again.
Jongleurs plans to use the cash to open two more franchises in Norwich and Bristol, put on 250 live comedy shows across 80 theatres next year, hold events at music festivals such as Glastonbury, and release a comedy DVD.
