Caird's Powell joins Caledonia as director
Caledonia Investments has recruited Caird Capitalтs Andy Powell as a director in its unquoted investments team.
Powell joins after five years at Caird, where he had been founding partner since 2010. During his time at the firm, Powell worked on the sales of valve designer Bifold in April 2012, UK health club operator David Lloyd Leisure in November 2013 and tableware manufacturer Steelite International in December 2013, among other deals.
Prior to Caird, Powell was a manager at KPMG between 1988 and 1994. He then joined PwC, where he was successively employed as assistant director, director of corporate finance advisory and director in the private equity advisory team.
In 2005, Powell was recruited by Lloyds Banking Group, where he oversaw more than 20 private equity transactions in companies with enterprise values sitting in the £15m-1bn range.
