Ferguson steps down as SVG shakes up board
Nicholas Ferguson will retire as chairman of SVG Capital at the end of this year, after 28 years with the firm.
In addition, Edgar Koning has announced his intention to retire from the board. Koning and Ferguson have served as directors of SVG Capital since its founding in 1996. Ferguson became chairman in 2005, having been CEO from 2001 to 2005.
The news follows SVG Capital's announcement late last year of plans to change its investment strategy and diversify its private equity commitments.
Later this month, Stephen Duckett will join the board. Most recently he was managing director of Hellman & Friedman.
Denis Raeburn and Francis Finlay will also retire from SVG Capital's board in March.
