
Stirling Square expands investment team

Mid-market private equity firm Stirling Square Capital Partners has appointed Jonathan Heathcote (pictured) as partner and Matteo Nichil as executive in its London office.
Heathcote joins from Palamon Capital Partners where he was responsible for the origination, execution and management of European mid-market investments. Prior to this, he was a consultant to Stirling Square in 2007 and 2008. Heathcote holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MA from Oxford University.
Nichil joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was an associate in the M&A team. His transaction experience encompasses the consumer and TMT sectors. Nichil holds an MSc from Cass Business School and a BSc from Università Bocconi.
Founded in 2002, Stirling Square invests in mid-market companies with enterprise values of €50-500m. The firm has committed capital in excess of €800m and has made 19 investments to date from its two funds.
