
Next Wave-backed Future Thinking merges with SPA
Next Wave Partners has backed the merger of its portfolio company Future Thinking (formerly known as TORA) with another market research company SPA.
Each agency will have a 20% shareholding in the combined business, with the rest held by Next Wave Partners. The private equity house backed the MBO of Future Thinking - formerly known as The Oxford Research Agency, or TORA - in 2008.
The newly formed agency will boast a 100-strong workforce, a £13m turnover and an international network of offices in London, Paris, New York and Oxford. A single company brand will be developed with a new management board made up of SPA and Future Thinking personnel.
