
LDC earns 4x revenue with St Tropez exit
Mid-market private equity house LDC has sold luxury self-tanning brand St Tropez to PZ Cussons for £62.5m, which corresponds to more than 4x revenue.
LDC acquired the company in 2006 and has since pursued an aggressive growth strategy which saw St Tropez reporting a turnover of £20.7m and an EBITDA of £7.4m for the year ended July 2010.
The beauty firm came 77th in the 2010 Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 list of the fastest-growing private equity-owned businesses in the UK.
