LDC earns 4x revenue with St Tropez exit
Mid-market private equity house LDC has sold luxury self-tanning brand St Tropez to PZ Cussons for ТЃ62.5m, which corresponds to more than 4x revenue.
LDC acquired the company in 2006 and has since pursued an aggressive growth strategy which saw St Tropez reporting a turnover of £20.7m and an EBITDA of £7.4m for the year ended July 2010.
The beauty firm came 77th in the 2010 Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 list of the fastest-growing private equity-owned businesses in the UK.
