LDC appoints Farren to Yorkshire team
LDC has appointed Joe Farren as an investment director in its Yorkshire office.
Farren will work alongside directors John Garner and Steve Harrison, and fellow investment director Dale Alderson in originating and structuring LDC's investments in the region, as well as supporting its existing portfolio companies.
He joins LDC from Sheffield-based SIG plc, a European supplier of materials to the construction sector, where he spent eight years as head of UK and Ireland corporate development.
Farren developed SIG's UK strategic plan, managed the evaluation, execution and integration of 25 acquisitions, and led a number of business growth initiatives.
Farren began his career with KPMG's corporate finance team in London after being called to the bar in 1996. Farren moved to Yorkshire in 2000 with Arthur Andersen, before joining Ernst & Young's Leeds office in 2001 as an assistant director.
