Bridges expands with four new hires
Bridges Ventures has appointed Oliver Wyncoll, Mark Blower, Khidhr Shafiq and Paul Richings to senior roles within the firm.
Wyncoll, Shafiq and Blower have all joined Bridges' Sustainable Growth Funds team. Wyncoll has joined as a partner and will seek out and identify potential investments for the firm within high-growth sub-sectors.
Wyncoll joins Bridges as a partner following a 12-year stint as a partner at Langholm Capital, where he also sat on the board of all of the firm's UK investments, including Tyrrells Crisps and Dorset Cereals. Between 1996 and 2002, he worked at Rabo Bank. Prior to that he worked at HSBC and former Barclays investment banking arm BZW.
Blower has taken up the role of investment director at Bridges. He joins the firm after spending four years as a partner at Gresham Private Equity. Blower headed up the north west acquisition finance team at Lloyds Banking Group prior to joining Gresham. He had previously worked as head of acquisition finance at Rothschild.
Shafiq joins Bridges as an associate following a five-year spell at Deloitte, where he worked in the assurance and corporate finance departments. His new role at Bridges will see him working with the firm's portfolio companies and assessing new investment opportunities.
Richings has been appointed as chief financial officer for Bridges. He joins the firm following a stint as a partner at Langholm, which he joined at the firm's inception in 2002 as CFO. Prior to Langholm, Richings worked at Mercury Asset Management and subsequently at Merrill Lynch following the firm's acquisition.
