Former Fitness First CEO Andrew Cosslett has joined Advent as operating partner.
Cosslett will work with Advent's retail, consumer and leisure team, helping to source new investments and support portfolio companies.
Cosslett started his career at Unilever, where his last role was marketing director. In 1990, he joined Cadbury Schweppes, where he spent 14 years and held, among others, the positions of president for EMEA and chief executive of the Asia Pacific business.
Between 2005-2011, Cosslett was CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group. He was also chairman of Duchy Originals from 2005-2008. Until July this year, Cosslett was CEO of Fitness First.

Advent stated that the operating partners typically assist with finding investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and setting up the value creation plans for Advent's portfolio companies.
