GCP appoints 3i exec as director
Growth Capital Partners (GCP) has appointed Kirsty McDonald as investment director to its team.
GCP provides £5-50m in MBOs and development capital deals as blended equity and debt to UK SMEs. It manages £200m and counts last year's sale of UK confectioner Tangerine to The Blackstone Group among its homeruns, generating more than 4x money for the vendor.
Prior to joining GCP, Kirsty spent five years at 3i. Previously, she worked at Trinity Mirror plc, focusing on corporate acquisitions, and she was also one of the founders of a London-based strategy consultancy, providing support across a range of sectors and for companies ranging from start-ups to FTSE100 firms.
GCP's portfolio is currently comprised of Amor Group, Blueberry Group, Wrap Film Systems, Eldapoint and Killby & Gayford.
Bill Crossan is managing partner of GCP.
