Octopus appoints new investment director
Octopus Investments has appointed Shay Ramalingam as investment director in its specialist finance division.
In his new role, Ramalingam will be responsible for deal origination and completion across sectors such as healthcare and business services. He will report to Mario Berti, head of the specialist finance division.
Before joining Octopus, Ramalingam held the position of investment director at Shore Capital, where he managed investments across the Puma VCTs. Prior to that, he was principal in Nomura's private equity team, where his work focused on investments in healthcare and business services.
Ramalingam holds a first class degree in economics from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified chartered accountant.
