PE houses circle Côte Brasserie
Private equity firms including LDC, Bridgepoint and Equistone are due to bid for UK-based restaurants chain CУДte Brasserie next week, according to media reports.
Offers could value the business at up to £120m according to The Independent, which broke the story yesterday. Hawkpoint is understood to be running the sale process. Côte Brasserie is currently backed by business tycoon Richard Caring.
Founded in 2007, Côte Brasserie operates 37 restaurants across the UK, specialising in French-style dishes such as steak and chips, and moules. The chain reportedly posted earnings of £13-14m last year.
