Garner to head LDC Yorkshire & North East
John Garner (pictured, left) is to head up LDCтs business in Yorkshire and the North East as the firm looks to increase its activities in the region.
He takes over from John Swarbrick (pictured, right), who has led the regional office for the past 12 years. Swarbrick will continue to act as a non-executive director on several LDC portfolio company boards and will work on a part-time basis until 2013 to ensure a smooth transition.
Garner qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG and spent nine years there as a corporate finance adviser. He has been with LDC since June 2006, heading its East Midlands business.
His mandate is to increase LDC's level of investment in the region and develop relations with its wider business community.
