Cherie Blair's PE fund raises £4.5m towards £75m target
Allele, a healthcare-focused private equity fund set up by Cherie Blair, is understood to have raised 6% of its ТЃ75m target.
The fund has raised £4.5m from 27 investors, according to The Telegraph. The publication also reported that the fund's target was raised from £65m to £75m, and that it was looking to attract family offices and high-net-worth individuals.
Launched in 2008, the Allele fund was designed to back Mee Healthcare, a venture established to open and operate around 100 private healthcare centres in the UK.
