Linklaters reshuffles London team in wake of departures
Law firm Linklaters has relocated Stockholm-based corporate partner Roger Johnson to its London office, while Nick Rees has been appointed head of the firm's private equity group.
Linklaters private equity co-heads Ian Bagshaw and Richard Youle resigned from the firm on 17 October to join White & Case's London office. They had been partners at Linklaters since 2007 and 2006 respectively.
Johnson was a Linklaters associate between 2002 and 2009. He joined Nordic law firm Hannes Snellman as a partner in 2009, but later rejoined Linklaters as a partner in 2011. His clients have included Triton and ECT.
Rees has been with Linklaters since 1994. He was co-managing partner in the firm's New York office between 2007 and 2011.
The moves follow the transfer of several high-profile private equity practice leaders in London recently. Clifford Chance global head of private equity David Walker quit for Latham & Watkins earlier this year, while Berwin Leighton Paisner's global head Raymond McKeeve recently moved to Jones Day.
