Palatine opens Birmingham office
Mid-market GP Palatine Private Equity has opened a new office in Birmingham to increase its footprint in the Midlands region.
In conjunction with the opening, Palatine appointed Richard Thomas to lead the Birmingham office. He will lead deal origination and execution in the Midlands alongside managing partner Gary Tipper, partner Beth Houghton and business development director Johnathan Massey.
Palatine has had a busy 2015 so far, with four new investments and three exits (including that of arcade games supplier Playnation to Novomatic Group, generating a 2.5x return). In addition, the firm held a first and final close for Palatine Private Equity Fund III on its hard-cap of £220m in January.
Palatine also recently promoted Beth Houghton (who is now a partner, based in the Birmingham office), James Winterbottom and Andy Strickland.
