Cairngorm Capital appoints two investment directors
Alex Bayliss and John Naylor-Leyland have joined Cairngorm Capital as investment directors.
Bayliss joins Cairngorm from SEA Equity, where he was a partner for two years and also director of portfolio company Vacuum Furnace Engineering. He started his career as an analyst at Greenhill and later worked as an associate at HIG.
At Cairngorm, Bayliss will focus on investing in mid-market manufacturing and business services companies.
Naylor-Leyland joins from Disruptive Capital, where he was a partner for three years. Prior to that, he was associate director at UBS Investment Bank from 2006-2012. He will now focus on deal sourcing and growth strategies for portfolio companies.
Cairngorm was set up by former HIG Capital executive Andrew Steel. The GP closed its maiden fund in August on its £50m target. The vehicle will invest in industrial and B2B companies.
