GMT promotes Talbot to principal

GMT Communications Partners has promoted Jean-Sébastien Talbot to principal.
Talbot joined GMT in July 2008. He is currently responsible for portfolio companies including UK-based Primesight, Spain-based Redext and DOCUgroup, a Germany-based B2B information provider for the construction sector.
Acquired by GMT in 2004, the business recently went through a refinancing and saw its Nordic operations sold by the GP to Swedish firm Segulah for an undisclosed amount.
Talbot began as an intern at GMT, a position he held between July-December 2008. He was then promoted to analyst and, later, associate.
Prior to joining the firm, Talbot was employed by Paris-based venture capital firm XAnge Private Equity.
The appointment follows a wave of staff changes last March by GMT Communications Partners, which saw Natalie Tydeman promoted to senior partner and Vikram Krishna and Francois Stoessel named partner and principal, respectively.
