Alcentra supports Ardian's acquisition of Groupe Bio 7
Alcentra has provided a unitranche debt package to support Ardian’s purchase of French laboratory operator Groupe Bio 7.
Alcentra provided the debt package alongside Bank of Ireland and Hayfin Capital Management.
Ardian acquired Groupe Bio 7 in early June in a secondary buyout from Chequers Capital.
Founded in Essonne in 1991, Bio 7 operates more than 50 clinical analysis laboratories. In 2014 the company expects to generate turnover of more than €55m.
The deal marks Alcentra's sixteenth investment since it launched its direct lending strategy in 2013. Other deals include Mountain Warehouse, Cambridge Education and Caffe Nero.
