Squire Patton Boggs hires partner
Squire Patton Boggs has appointed John Hayward as a partner in its financial services practice.
Hayward joins following a three-year stint at Simmons & Simmons, where he was a finance partner and head of acquisition.
Prior to that, he worked as a partner and head of leveraged finance at Berwin Leighton Paisner from 2003–2011.
Hayward specialises in acquisition and leveraged finance for UK and international banks, private equity firms and corporate borrowers. He also has experience in bank lending, development finance and real estate finance.
Hayward joins the firm's London office, where several hires have taken place in the specialist finance team in recent months, including Paula Laird for asset-based lending and Philippa Chadwick for project finance.
