BGF bolsters Northern England team
The Business Growth Fund (BGF) has hired Richard Taylor as an investment professional in its Northern England team.
Taylor joins from Sovereign Capital, where he was an investment director focusing on the Northern market. Prior to this he worked at venture firms Octopus Private Equity and YFM Group.
At BGF, Taylor will specifically target investments in Yorkshire.
The fund has made three investments in the North of England in recent months. BGF invested £4.4m in Springfield Healthcare Group in June, £8m in pub chain Wear Inns in May, and £3.25m in Mexican street food chain Barburrito in April.
