Vision Capital hires Principal
International investor Vision Capital has appointed Samer Cortas as Principal.
Cortas, who boasts more than 12 years experience in leveraged finance, began his career at CIBC World Markets in London and New York. He then moved on to found Blenheim Advisors, where he was Executive Director, in 2003.
After the debt advisory firm was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in September 2007, Cortas worked in the latter company's Debt Advisory and Financial Restructuring Group in London.
"I am delighted to welcome Samer," Vision Capital chief executive Julian Mash said, adding that the firm continues "to focus on further building and developing the business in light of the significant new deal opportunities seen in recent months".
The secondary buy-out specialist usually engages in transactions within the €50m to €1bn deal range.
