Allen & Overy appoints partner in PE practice
Law firm Allen & Overy has hired Karan Dinamani as a partner in the private equity practice of its London corporate group.
Dinamani joins Allen & Overy following a stint as a partner in the London office of law firm Ashurst's corporate department and private equity team.
At Ashurst, Dinamani specialised in cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions, predominantly for private equity firms and financial institutions. According to Allen & Overy, Dinamani's clients in the past have included Apax, Nordic Capital and Terra Firma.
Recent transactions on which Allen & Overy has worked include Advent International's €1.28bn take-private of Dutch software company Unit4 in November last year and the £935m secondary management buyout of Vue Entertainment by Omers Private Equity and Alberta Investment Management Corporation from Doughty Hanson in June.
