Exponent appoints Davidson as partner
UK-based mid-cap GP Exponent Private Equity has promoted Simon Davidson to become its seventh partner.
Simon joined the firm in 2008 and has since focused on investments in the retail, consumer and leisure sectors. Prior to that, he spent four years with Apax Partners, working in the consumer and financial services teams.
Exponent Private Equity typically invests in UK businesses with an enterprise value of £75-350m. It raised its first fund in 2004, followed by an £800m second vehicle in 2007, from which the GP is currently investing. Recent investments include Quorn Foods, Pattonair and Immediate Media.
