DFJ Esprit hires Partner for Dublin office
Cross-stage venture capital firm DFJ Esprit has appointed entrepreneur Brian Caulfield as a Partner at its Dublin offices.
Previously a partner at Trinity Venture Capital, Caulfield was voted the Irish Software Association's Technology Person of the Year in 2007, and nominated Business Angel of the Year for 2010 by the Halo Business Angel Network.
He currently sits on the boards of AePONA, ezetop, Clavis Technology and the Irish Times newspaper and has in the past been on the boards of ChangingWorlds, CR2, and SteelTrace.
His personal investments include early stage technology companies such as PutPlace, Sentry Wireless, Cibenix and Cicero Networks.
This latest appointment is in line with DFJ Esprit's latest strategy to increase its focus on Irish venture capital.
Caulfield holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
