Sovereign appoints two

Sovereign Capital has appointed Trevor Stokes (pictured) as investment manager and Oliver Hedley-Whyte as investment executive.
Stokes joins from financial advisory firm Global Leisure Partners, where he was vice president. He focused on M&A origination and execution, corporate strategy and capital-raising transactions.
Prior to that, Stokes spent five years at KPMG Corporate Finance in the M&A and debt advisory teams.
Hedley-Whyte spent seven months as an investment executive at August Equity, where he worked on deal origination and execution in the business services, healthcare and technology sectors.
Sovereign has made several new hires this quarter, making three new appointments in October this year.
Earlier this month, the GP sold Cordium, a global compliance and regulatory services provider, to European Capital, generating 4x money.
