3i returns to FTSE 100
3i has returned to the FTSE 100 index, as its share price has more than doubled in the past three months after having fallen 45% in the previous quarter.
The review of the company was based on the closing share price on 9 June, with the changes implemented on 22 June.
With 3i's £732m rights issue out of the way and 97% of shareholders subscribed, investors' worries have calmed, as they are now increasingly focusing on the companies they can acquire at a substantial discount because of the credit crisis.
