KPMG promotes three
KPMG has promoted Neill Thomas to head of corporate finance, Andrew Nicholson to head of M&A and Jonathan White to UK head of valuations.
Thomas and Nicholson's roles were previously held by Richard Clarke, who was recently assigned to the new position of head of investment management within the firm's financial services practice.
White takes over from Doug McPhee, who continues as global head of valuations.
Thomas continues in his roles as global head of capital advisory and chair of the KPMG Makinson Cowell management board. He was previously head of the firm's UK debt advisory business. Before joining KPMG in 2001, Thomas worked at global asset management company Schroders for 15 years.
Nicholson has 15 years of experience in M&A and has worked in KPMG's healthcare M&A team for the last eight years. He acted as lead adviser on the sale of Asteral to Permira in August as part of a Swiss/UK healthcare merger, and advised Sovereign Capital on the sale of homecare provider City & County to Graphite Capital in December last year. He joined KPMG in 2006 from Rothschild.
According to Thomas, KPMG's corporate finance business has grown its revenue by 25% in the last 12 months. The firm's corporate finance practice in the UK consists of 350 professionals who identify, structure and implement public and private market transactions. The team advised the shareholders of Victoria Plumb in selling a majority stake in the business to TPG Capital in April.
