Bewley joins Connection as head of funds
Investment firm Connection Capital has appointed Emma Bewley, a former portfolio manager at Pamplona Capital Management, as head of its funds business.
As part of her new role, Bewley will source investment opportunities for Connection across private equity, venture capital, small-cap and commercial litigation funds, among others.
Her appointment at Connection's London office will see her work alongside Claire Madden, Stephen Catling and Lorraine Homewood, respectively partner, head of alternative investments and client director at the firm.
In September 1999, Bewley started out as a trainee in Deloitte's international tax team, which she left to become an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in March 2000. The bank promoted her to associate in November 2001.
In May 2005, she was recruited as senior analyst by Pamplona Capital Management within the fund-of-hedge-funds team. In July 2006, she was named portfolio manager and focused on sourcing non-equity opportunities for Pamplona over the following five years.
In January 2012, she went on to become an independent hedge fund consultant.
