Social Action Fund backs Impetus Trust
Venture philanthropy organisation Impetus Trust has received a ТЃ310,000 investment from the Social Action Fund.
The Social Action Fund is a £20m vehicle managed by the Social Investment Business on behalf of the Cabinet Office. The fund has so far made 38 social impact investments.
Impetus is a social impact investor that backs charities and social enterprises aiming to deliver social returns. The firm provides capital and management support to portfolio companies headquartered in the UK that aim to reduce economic disadvantage.
Impetus will use the investment to recruit staff to support portfolio companies, particularly within IT, human resources and marketing.
