Gowlings team joins WLG ahead of merger
A team of nine Gowlings professionals will join Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (WLG) ahead of the two firm's merger in January 2016.
Headed by corporate finance partner Charles Bond, the team includes corporate partners David Brennan and Dominic Prentis, partner for banking and finance Nick Iliff, director for corporate Sefton Collett, consultants Andrew Wright and Michael Taylor, and associates Susan Johnston and Victoria Yao.
Bond, Brennan, Prentis, Collett, Wright, Johnston and Yao focus predominantly on AIM and equity capital markets, as well as public and private M&A. Their sector focus is oil and gas.
Iliff mostly works on project finance and real estate finance, while Taylor concentrates on energy-related matters and project finance.
The majority of the team already joined WLG's London office on 21 September. Iliff is now based in the Birmingham office, while Collett's move to the WLG London office is scheduled for October.
WLG will rebrand to Gowling WLG in January 2016, when the combined law firm officially launches. The merger was announced in July 2015.
