ICG-backed Symington’s acquires Victoria Foods
ICG portfolio company Symington’s, a convenience food manufacturer, is understood to have bought family baking business Victoria Foods.
Symington's is majority-owned by its management, which acquired its stake in the ICG-backed secondary buyout from Bridgepoint Capital earlier this month. ICG owns 49.9% of the business.
Victoria Foods is a supplier to the UK home baking sector. Similarly to Symington's, it has a portfolio of own brands and also supplies speciality brands including Nestle, Jane Asher and Peppa Pig baking mixes.
The business was established in 1982 and is based in Leigh.
