SOF rebrands as Pollen Street Capital
SOF Investments, the firm run by the former RBS private equity team that span out from the bank in November last year, has renamed itself Pollen Street Capital as part of a rebranding strategy.
The recently independent fund manager will continue to be headed by managing partner Lindsey McMurray following the rebranding.
Pollen Street, which has deployed more than £1.2bn in capital, focuses its investments on the financial services sector.
Its most recent deal saw Bridgepoint acquire Moneycorp, which was held in the portfolio of the RBS Special Opportunities Fund, for £212m at the beginning of this month. The fund is advised by Pollen Street (then SOF).
The firm currently holds eight assets in its portfolio, including Shawbrook Bank, Target and Freedom Finance, the latter of which it recently acquired alongside portfolio company Target.
