Investec hires Lucas from Barclays
Investec has appointed Helen Lucas, former vice president in the debt finance origination team at Barclays, to its growth and acquisition finance team.
Lucas will originate and execute transactions on behalf of growth businesses and management teams. She will report to Ed Cottrell, head of growth and acquisition finance at Investec.
She was previously working at Barclays, which she joined in 2007. Her most recent position was vice president in the debt finance origination team, where she was responsible for deal structuring and execution as well as financial sponsor coverage activities for mid-market sponsors.
Prior to that, she was an associate director in Barclays' business support division, focused on restructuring and turnaround strategies for UK corporates.
The new hire takes total headcount in the team to 17; three new appointments were made in the growth and acquisition team in 2013, including Grant Davidson, former finance director at LGC Standards.
