Palatine hires two

Palatine Private Equity has appointed Andy Strickland as investment manager and Ben Jones as business development manager.
Strickland (pictured) joins from Clearwater Corporate Finance where he was an assistant director for four years in the company's technology team. There, he worked on domestic and international transactions including private equity-backed deals, company disposals and asset sales. Strickland is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a degree in economics from Nottingham University.
In his new role, Strickland will work alongside partner Tony Dickin and investment director Jonny Allatt, focusing on originating and executing deals across the south of the UK.
Jones joins from Criticaleye, a collaborative leadership business, where he spent four years working with and recruiting CEOs, chairmen and non-executive directors for both corporate and private equity-backed businesses.
Jones will work with business development director Johnathan Massey to aid the investment team in sourcing new deals.
The appointments follow Palatine's recent fundraising success, with the GP closing its second fund on £150m. More than half of the commitments came from overseas investors.
