CDC appoints ex-Permira partner as chairman
Graham Wrigley, a former partner at Permira, will become the new chairman of UK development finance institution CDC in January 2014.
Wrigley was appointed following a competitive process, CDC announced in a statement. He will first join the board in October as a non-executive director, before becoming chairman at the start of next year.
Wrigley will replace Richard Gillingwater, who has been chairman since April 2010.
Wrigley joined Permira in 1989, before leaving in 2006 to focus on projects such as chairing Aureos, an investor in small and medium-sized enterprises in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He started his career at Bain & Company.
