Montagu and GIP look to build up Biffa
Montagu Private Equity and Global Infrastructure Partners have agreed to acquire waste management group Greenstar UK from NTR plc for ТЃ135m.
The deal is being done as a standalone, equity only acquisition, though it is anticipated that the newly acquired company will later be integrated into the Biffa structure, majority controlled by the two financial backers.
Greenstar is one of the UK's leading providers of recycling-led waste management services. It offers its recycling waste management solutions to a large number of commercial and industrial clients.
