Dunedin hires two
UK private equity firm Dunedin has appointed Karan Darrach as financial controller and Andrew Davidson as analyst.
Darrach joins from KPMG, where he was a senior manager. At Dunedin, he will be responsible for fund reporting and portfolio monitoring.
Davidson joins from PwC, where he was a senior associate in the business recovery services department. He will be sourcing deals across the UK for Dunedin.
The UK mid-market firm closed Dunedin Buyout Fund III on £300m in July, surpassing its £250m target. The fund held a first close in January on £240m.
Dunedin invested in the £34.5m MBO of Premier HyTemp in December and backed Trustmarque Solutions with £43m in June. The firm also exited etc.venues and Practice Plan, reaping 3.2x and 2.8x respectively on its original investments.
The firm was named Small Buyout House of the Year at the unquote" British Private Equity Awards 2013.
