Terra Firma keeps hold of Infinis
Terra Firma has decided to hold on to its renewable energy portfolio company Infinis after originally planning to float the business before the end of this year. The investor cited volatile market conditions as well as the management company of the business producing a five-year plan for Terra Firma. It was predicted that Infinis could have floated with a market capitalisation of between £700m to £1bn. Terra Firma acquired Waste Recycling Group (WRG) in a £531m public-to-private transaction in 2003. It sold WRG's waste disposal division to Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas in July 2006 for £1.4bn and retained WRG's renewable energy division, renaming it Infinis.
