Mobeus strengthens team
VCT funds manager Mobeus Equity Partners has expanded its investment team, promoting one and appointing four.
Chris Price has been promoted to investment director while new additions to the team include Tom Chaloner as portfolio director, Greg Blin as investment manager, Freddie Bacon as analyst and Joanna Llewellyn as executive assistant.
Price joined Mobeus in 2010. He has particular experience investing in the automotive sector and leads Mobeus's activities in this area. Price started his career with Icon Corporate Finance before joining Foresight Group.
Chaloner has been a director of HSBC Ventures and a partner at Montagu Private Equity. He has been involved in more than 60 exits including IPOs, trade sales, mergers and secondary MBOs.
Blin joins Mobeus following a secondment at Piper Private Equity. He was previously a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he provided corporate finance advice on a variety of buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Bacon has meanwhile joined the investment team to identify potential investment opportunities and to carry out industry and company research.
Llewellyn joins from Phoenix Equity Partners and will provide support to both the investment and fund management teams at Mobeus.
