Beringea promotes McCormick and hires three

McCormick has been a partner at Beringea since 2008, joining from The Boston Consulting Group where she was a consultant. Over the last eight years, McCormick has spearheaded several of Beringea's investments including Monica Vinader, Watchfinder and BlisMedia.

She replaces Hope, who has been chief investment officer since 2003 and has now left the business.

The VCT manager has also hired Chris Bone, who is joining the firm's debt provider division – Beringea Growth Finance – as investment director. He joins from Clydesdale Bank where he spent six years as a senior director after co-founding the bank's growth finance business. Prior to that he held several roles at the Bank of Scotland.

Anne O'Loughlin joins Beringea as sales director, responsible for fundraising in the north of England. She joins from Downing, where she spent 10 months as a business development manager. Prior to that she was a principal at St James's Place Wealth Management.

Oliver Ashton has also joined the sales team, as business development executive responsible for managing Beringea's IFA databases. He graduated from the University of Birmingham last year with a degree in international business.
