Graphite's Spence becomes LPEQ chair
Graphite Capitalтs finance director Tim Spence has been appointed as the new non-executive chair of LPEQ.
Spence succeeds Andrew Lebus, senior partner of Pantheon, who has been chairperson since July 2013.
Since 2013, Spence has been a board director of LPEQ. He first became involved with the listed private equity association in 2006, participating in the formulation of LPEQ's investor reporting guidelines, the bi-annual Cashflow Compass survey of members and an eight-step guide to investing in listed private equity. He also played a role on the development of LPEQ's responses to regulatory proposals.
As LPEQ chair, Spence's priorities will be to engage with a wide range of potential listed private equity investors and to increase understanding of private equity.
Spence joined Graphite in 2005 and is responsible for the finance team and regulatory compliance. He is also part of the Graphite Enterprise Trust management team.
Prior to joining Graphite, Spence spent eight years in Deloitte's audit and assurance team. He is also a member of the BVCA regulatory committee, which he joined in 2009.
